It is estimated that approximately 30% of all Cavaliers are affected by a low platelet disorder called *idiopathic thrombocytopenia*. If your vet finds a very low platelet count on your Cavalier during a routine
blood test and becomes alarmed, please take copies of the above article to
him/her to read. In the vast majority of cases, absolutely no medical
intervention is needed.
